Your benefits are an important part of your overall compensation. We are pleased to offer you a comprehensive array of valuable benefits to protect your health, you family, and your way of life. This guide answers some of the basic questions you may have about your benefits and coverage. Please read it carefully, along with any included supplemental materials.
Who Is Eligible For Benefits?
You are eligible for benefits if you are a regular, full-time employee working 30 or more hours per week.
Eligible Dependents include:
- Your legally married spouse, common law spouse, or registered domestic partner
- Children (biological, step, adopted or those for whom you have legal custody) under the age of 26, regardless of student status, dependency, or marital status
- Children who are fully dependent on you for support due to a mental or physical disability and who are indicated as such on your federal tax return; coverage may continue past age 26
Required Information:
When you enroll, you will be required to provide a Social Security Number (SSN) for all covered dependents. The Affordable Care Act (ACA) otherwise known health care reform, requires the company to report this information to the IRS each year. This information will be securely submitted to the IRS and will remain confidential.
When Coverage Begins:
Eligible Employees:
Changes made during the Open Enrollment Period are effective January 1, 2025 - December 31, 2025.
New Hires:
Coverage is effective the first of the month following, or coinciding with, your date of hire as long as you complete the enrollment process within the timeline given to you by the HR team.
How to Enroll:
Our benefits website is your one stop shop not only for enrolling in benefits, but also for accessing detailed benefit information, HR related forms, and contact information for carriers. Simply log in to your Paycom employee portal and enter your login credentials/
The system will prompt you to step through the process, from beginning of enrollment, updating personal information, dependent information and choosing benefits.
You must complete the enrollment process according to the timeline set by your HR team in order for coverage to be effective on January 1, 2025.
When Can I Make Changes?
Once you elect your benefit options, they will remain in effect for the entire plan year until the following Open Enrollment. You may only change coverage during the plan year if you have a Qualifying Life Event, and you must do so within 30 days of the event.
Qualifying Life Events include:
- Marriage, divorce, legal separation or annulment
- Birth, adoption or placement for adoption of an eligible child
- Death of a spouse or child
- Change in your spouse’s employment that affects benefits eligibility
- Change in your child’s eligibility for benefits (reaching the age limit)
- Change in residence that affects your eligibility for coverage
- Significant change in coverage or cost in your, your spouse’s or child’s benefit plans
- FMLA leave, COBRA event, Court Judgment, or Decree
- Becoming eligible for Medicare or Medicaid
- Receiving a Qualified Medical Child Support Order
If you have a Qualifying Life Event and want to request a mid-year change, you must notify Human Resources and complete your election changes within 30 days following the event. Please be prepared to provide documentation to support the Qualifying Life Event.
